Suminoe Park, from which the station takes its name, is one of the largest urban parks in Osaka Prefecture. It is perfect for strolling and picnicking, with beautiful flower beds, plazas, playground equipment, tennis courts, and baseball fields.

There are also plenty of sports facilities, such as the Suminoe Sports Center and the Suminoe Boat Racecourse.

An area surrounded by sea and rivers
Suminoe Ward faces Osaka Bay and borders the sea on the south side. The Yodo River, which flows through Osaka City, also runs through the ward, creating a waterfront landscape.

Suminoe Ward has long been a shipbuilding area, and many ship-related companies and factories are located there.
